Start with the reporting

Current status: March of Giants is Ubisoft's in-development, free-to-play 4v4 War MOBA. Its Pioneer Playtest is scheduled for October 7–18, 2026, via Steam on PC for North America and supported European countries. The current public testing languages are English, French, German and Spanish, so Simplified Chinese is not listed for this test. Two complementary reads

Next update triggers: October 12 character availability, invitation changes, October 18 closure, future Ubisoft roadmap or supported-language announcements. If no new official evidence appears, preserve this checked-as-of summary rather than changing the date to imitate activity. We do not claim current live CCU or global player count without an authoritative measurement.

What changed, and what lasts

The Pioneer notice describes Soldier charge control, expanded Battleworks including Cavalry, Army Camps, Augments and more item choices. The roster reaches 17 with Elaris and Pandemos; their availability differs. These are announced changes, not a hands-on balance judgment.

Completed PvP matches earn 100 points for a win or 50 for a loss. At 1,000 points, the Pioneer Program grants status and its rewards. Pandemos is scheduled for October 12 at 10 AM EDT, for qualifying participants. Pandemos, Pioneer status and the Early Access Pack carry forward as described by Ubisoft; other unlocked Giants and ordinary test content do not. The playtest article explains exclusions and the non-stacking boost.

The test started October 7 at 10 AM EDT; the publisher gives October 18 as the closing date but no exact shutdown hour in the notice. Do not assume an extension from an old download link.
